The most important aspect of a community-based arts centre is cooperation. People giving back to the centre more than they have taken, and encouraging this philosphy throughout the organisation. Through a series of complex compounds, growth will occur, communities will strengthen, and soon you will have an entire symbiotic ecosystem of hungry and satiated artists in healthy flux. One may liken this phenomenon to a very powerful bacterial enzyme reacting in a context of social, spiritual and cultural vacuity to create abundance and life.

Local artists acting as mentors will turn us amateur creative types into exemplars. By leading through example, they can spread their gift, it’s simple. I propose regular workshops, paid or not, to keep the fort an open castle, not a barricaded hassle. For all to enjoy, for every girl and boy. The popularity will soar, and exposure even more. The artists will prosper, and the community will thank ya.

COMMUNITY! Your own 20 years of knowledge becomes multiplied by thousands . A Job that’s takes 10 hours takes a community 5 minutes, 5 cars = 1 car. 10 dollars becomes a million dollars. One idea Becomes a movement, People + more People Becomes a culture !

The most important aspect of a community arts centre is that it encourage a free exploration of the many forms of expression and allow an outlet for so doing. Given the mercurial and varied nature of people involved with art it requires the wisdom of a sage and the temperance of a saint, perhaps with more than a hint of the savvy business-mind to make it all work.

The most important aspect of a community arts centre is a bar. just kidding. Seriously though, not only is nurturing young talent & giving a place for people to do their stuff important, but so is having a place that is welcoming and comfortable to the random punter like myself, to come and see and experience the art on display.

Well I think community Arts centers taste like cake. They provide vital support for emerging artists to create and showcase their work, they allow an informal and rich dialogue between different art forms and various community groups. But simply, oh so simply, community arts centers have bucket loads of love going around, and you cant put a pretty penny to that! ha!
